MSTP Student Served as Panelist in 2023 SciEd Conference

Jackline Lasola, MS4 student, served as a panelist in a SciEd 2023 Conference for NIH Science Education Projects, "Near-peer Mentoring: Reflections from Experience" facilitated by Debra L. Yourick, PhD, Director, Science Education and Fellowship Programs at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Jackline and her mentee, Lynijah Scied, spoke about their experiences in the CURE program. The UMB CURE Scholars Program is a groundbreaking year-round program that seeks to empower middle school and high school students in West Baltimore for competitive and rewarding research, health care, and STEM-related career opportunities.
