In order to be flexible in the pursuit of a career as a clinician scientist, it is important for trainees to minimize debt. Students accepted into the MSTP are guaranteed financial support for the duration of their studies.

Stipends increase as the student progresses. The current yearly stipend level is $34,325 and increases to $36,325 after students pass graduate program qualifying exams. 

In addition, students also receive individual health care coverage, medical malpractice insurance, tuition remission and waiver of all fees. 

All together the student scholarship package totals nearly $82,000 per year.
